From Backyard to Borough

1

Humble Beginnings

Charlotte's Farms began in a small backyard in Brooklyn. Fueled by a love for good food and a passion for sustainability, we started growing tomatoes for our family—and then for the neighborhood.

2

Growing Community

Word spread about our fresh, organic produce. Neighbors began asking for more. We realized we weren't just growing food—we were growing a movement.

3

Commercial Expansion

Now, we've expanded to a commercial space, transforming the rear yard of a local business into a full-fledged farm. This is just the beginning of our borough-wide vision.

Our Purpose & Promise

Everything we do is guided by our mission, vision, and commitment to our community.

Our Mission

To feed our community with nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables while setting a new standard for sustainable urban agriculture.

Our Vision

We aim to become the largest urban farm in NYC in the next five years—using rooftops, backyards, and underused spaces to grow a greener city.

Our Values

Charlotte's Farms is 100% female-owned and led. We believe in empowerment through food, equity through access, and strength through sustainability.

Growing by the Numbers

Our impact goes beyond just growing food—we're cultivating a sustainable future for Brooklyn and beyond.
